Think you’re wordsmith? You might want to try out Four Letters. Start a game, and you are provided with four letters in a circle. You have to tap these in the correct order to form a word while eacing against time. If you tap the wrong letter, tap it again to remove it, and then continue. 

After every dictionary word you from- the game has a database of 2,473 words- you are presented with the next set of alphabets. The game starts off looking deceptively easy, but it keeps getting tougher as you advance; all the more because you’re constantly conscious of the clock, Fail and Four Letter displays a word you could have made, along with its dictionary meaning.

 You can complete with friends after signing up with Facebook, and check the report card of how you’ve fared in past game by viewing statistics and Achievements. Four Letters is fun, educational and addictive.

NIGHT SKY LITE

Night Sky Lite is a app for uses the phone’s GPS to abtain your position and map the sky above you. To know what constellation you are looking at , simply tap the “ sky tracking” button and point your handset at the sky. 

The app senses the direction and orientation and planets that come within its field of vision. You can also view the night sky from another location: Tap the “ 3D Earth mode “ disable the GPS function, and select the continent of choice. Head back to the “ sky mode” and NSL will show you what starazers in that location can see. The app include a link to an online user guide, but since it doesn’t come with detailed information of the celestial object in the sky, you might need to keep reference material by your side

If you click a lot of photos from your smartphone’s camera, then you need to install pixlr express right now. Start the app, choose to shoot a phto or pick one from your gallery, and in a matter of minutes, you’re ready to edit your image. Each option in Pixlr Express is intuitive and easy to use. 

The free version gives you access to the adjustment tab which houses most effects you’d need: touch up, blur, sharpening, autoflix, contrast, crop, rotate, red eye removal, etc. You can choose to buy Pixlr Express plus to unlock Effects (vintage, subtle, creative, etc.), Overlay (smoke, paper, chem burn) and borders (ink, film, rounded corner). Once you’re done editing, you can save the file and share it without going away from the app. Superb!

Almost everyone has faced situations where their device ran out of battery right in the middle of a call. And them, there might have been times when your phone ran out of juice, with no charging point in sight while there were people frantically trying to get in touch with you.

 Last Message is an app that makes sure that your friends and family are informed- via a message, email, Facebook and Twitter- when your cell phone runs out of battery. While the app may not have a very appealing user interface, it is simple to use and gets the job done. 

Once you have it installed, you can specify the battery level that you consider low and add the number, email addresses, IDs of Facebook and Twitter friends to whom you would like to send a ‘low batter’ message. When the battery charge dips below your specified level, the app sends a message informing them all that you won’t be available to take calls.

WORDFEUD

WordFeud is fun two-player board game, like scrabble, where players have to from words with seven random letter placed on their dashboard. Each letters tillers placed on their dashboard. 

Each letters tile has points assigned to it. Play begins from the center square on the board and move outword as you and your opponets battle it out to from words over high-scoring squares: double word (DW), triple word (TW), double letter (DL), After each turn, new letters take the place of the ones you used. 

When the tiles are exhausted, the player with the higher score is the winner. In Wordfeul, you can play up to 30 games simultaneously; sign in with Facebook to play against friends, random Wordfued players or those you invite via e-mail. The game also allows you to chat with opponent while the game is in progress.

FILE COMMANDER

On Android, there is a popular game called racing Moto. In it game navigate their bike- accelerating by touching the screen- on a road full of motorists. Death moto is reaching moto on steroids. 

Gameplay is the same: there is a bike and you have to control it. But there are additional bits that make this game much more challenging. Here players can upgrade their bikes if they collect enough points by eliminating fellow bikers. To achieve better result, a player has to also collect tool and nitro from along the route. Tools allow the player to knock off other racers, while nitro is crucial if you want to go faster. Death moto has better graphics than the original game. On the flip side, It might not run well on low- to mid- level Android phone

TEMPLE RUN 2

Like in the first part, you start TR2 by playing as guy Dangerous- an Indiana jones- type archaeologist. You aim (again) is to escape from an ancient temple with a gold idol. Only this time, instead of being chased by six malevolent ape-like creatures, you are chase by one huge brute brute.

 Gameplay involes swiping at screen to avoid obstacle, and tilting your device to collect gold credits as you sprint to stay an arm’s length away from the beast chasing you. Indeed, TR2 is a huge improvement on TR with better graphics, vertgo- inducing locales and scenery change. Besides running, jumping and sliding, you also get to glide down zip lines and ridw through mines in a rail cart. 

And yes, upgades let you change your change your character- Scarlett fox, Barry Bones or kaerma lee- each with their own special power, TR2 is TR on steroids, and all the ups and downs in this game make it much tougher to master, but still lots of fun.
